To predict readmission risk in patients with acute lower GI bleeding.
Use in patients presenting with lower GI bleed (urgent, emergent, or primary care setting) to help determine if outpatient management is feasible. The Oakland Score for Safe Discharge After Lower GI Bleed is calculated from 7 paramters: age, sex, previous lower GI bleeding admission, DRE findings, heart rate, systolic blood pressure and hemoglobin.
