DLCO v.1
Diffusing capacity of the Lungs for Carbon Monoxide (DLCO) calculator corrects the pulmonary result for haemoglobin in patients with anemia.
To calculate the corrected DLCO.
Use to correct the result from the DLCO pulmonary test with the patient haemoglobin based on gender and age. The following formula is used: DLCO Corrected = Predicted DLCO * (1.7 * Hgb / (Age & Sex-Factor + Hgb)), where Age & Sex-Factor is 9.38 for females and children <15 years and 10.22 for males >= 15 years.
